Peanut Butter Cookies
Thoroughly cream together:
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 t. vanilla
Stir in:
- 1 c. peanut butter
Sift together and add:
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 2 t. soda
- 1/2 t. salt
Stir into the creamed mixture.
Scoop into balls with a 1” ice cream scoop and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Press each cookie with back of floured fork to make crisscrosses.
Bake at 350o for 9 minutes. Yield: About 60 soft yet crispy cookies.
